In the cycle of carbon all living things have carbon when they die the organism releases the carbon in the air which is not good if we have to much carbon in the air. We have trees that take in the carbon, but if we have less trees or plants to take in the carbon then their is going to be to much carbon in air which is not good. The difference between of energy flow and matter is Unlike the one-way flow of energy, matter is recycled within and between ecosystems
